Scenic Roads
In order to protect the scenic and historic character of the Middleborough’s roadways, the Commission is empowered to recommend the designation of scenic roads to Town Meeting for adoption under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40 Section 15C. Designation as a Scenic Road protects trees, stone walls and other features within the public road layout that help define the roadway.
At present Middleborough has designated the following as Scenic Roads:
Long Point Road: Marion Road to Lakeville line
Marion Road: Cherry Street to Rochester line
Pleasant Street: Plymouth Street to Frontage Road

Plymouth Street: Titicut Green to Carver line
Summer Street: Plymouth Street to Murdock Street

Plymouth Street, Church of the Green circa 1828 and now
